Mr. Boserup has mediated and arbitrated more than 5, 000 cases since he became a full time professional mediator in 1992. He has been named a Top Mediator in California by the Daily Journal several years running including 2013, recognized as a Best Lawyer, Alternative Dispute Resolution Category, Best Lawyers in America, 2009-2012, and is a frequent guest speaker, having presented more than 50 CLE courses to law firms and corporations in the Los Angeles area. Mr. Boserup is certified as an Electronic Discovery Specialist by the Association of Certified Electronic Discovery Specialists.
Mr. Boserup is a native of Denmark and fluent in both Danish and English, He has taught mediation and arbitration to hundreds of lawyers, judges, students, teachers, and mental health professionals in both the United States and Europe. He has authored articles in both domestic and international publications on the benefits of mediation for attorneys and clients alike.
Viggo earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 1966 and his law degree in 1969 from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. ?Mr. Boserup is available at all of the JAMS Southern California Resolution Centers.
As an attorney, Viggo specialized in probate, trusts, and estates; taxation; finance; oil and gas (including 20+ years of managing working interests in more than 35 oil & gas leases); construction, real estate acquisition and development as well as related areas of insurance coverage and liability.
As a businessman, Viggo has developed both commercial and residential real estate projects and has facilitated meetings with neighborhood groups, planning commissions, and city councils. Mr. Boserup was also the principal owner and CEO of a national industrial construction company with more than 1,000 employees in 26 states.
As a real estate developer and an instrument rated private pilot, Mr. Boserup has assisted in the resolution of aviation-related issues. He has coordinated the development of consensus on issues ranging from economic development, planning, public works, safety, design, construction, public financing and the like.
